A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Academy of the State Customs Committee and the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 28. The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee Gulu Novruzov, employees of the Academy, chairman of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Bagirov and representatives of the board attended the ceremony.

The head of the academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov greeted the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them at the university. Gulu Novruzov informed the guests about the establishment of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, the educational process and its activities in the field of international cooperation. He spoke about the future prospects of cooperation between the Academy and the Board, the organization of internships for students, the involvement of academics in the educational activities of the Academy and other issues of interest.

Following the event, an extensive presentation on the activities of the Academy of the State Customs Committee was made.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit to the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Chairman of the Bar Anar Bagirov praised the activities and achievements of the Academy in training highly qualified personnel in various specialties. Anar Bagirov gave detailed information about the recent development of advocacy and the activities of the Board. He expressed his confidence that joint activities with the Academy of the State Customs Committee in areas of mutual interest would be fruitful for both sides.

After the discussions, Gulu Novruzov, head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, and Anar Bagirov, Chairman of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed a Memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation.

According to the Memorandum, the parties will organize joint projects, conferences, seminars and discussions, as well as support the development of knowledge and skills, professionalism and worldview of law students of the Academy.

The head of the Academy Gulu Novruzov presented the 30th anniversary medal of the State Customs Committee to the chairman of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Bagirov, who was awarded by the relevant order of the chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Safar Mehdiyev.

At the end of the meeting, mutual symbolic gifts were presented. After the ceremony, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the Academy of the State Customs Committee.
