Commodities such as ore, coal, wheat, oil, etc., which are normally transported loose or unpackaged. In this transportation mode, the ship itself is the container.

Clearance (of goods) -- The accomplishment of the customs formalities necessary to allow goods to be released from Customs control – for export, home use or to be placed under another customs procedure.
