In order  to elect and approve a new chairman and board of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) , a meeting was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The staff and students of the Academy attended the meeting . Deputy Head of the Academy Jamila Namazova made an introductory speech and spoke in detail about the comprehensive development of the university, the importance of SYO and the role of students in this work. Jamila Namazova noted that the involvement of students in research work, conducting scientific research is one of the most important tasks of the SYO. She  encouraged students to take an active part in the elections and to be objective, and wished the candidates success in the elections.

The  elections were held by secret ballot and as a result,  Huseynzadeh Huseyn, a second-year student majoring in International Trade and Logistics at the Academy, was elected as a chairman of the Student Youth Organization.

The meeting also agreed to establish  five scientific centers within the 25-member board of Student Youth Organization  for the majors taught at the Academy and appointed new heads and members to the centers.

Then,  head of the Department of Organization of Educational and Methodological Work of the Academy Islam Huseynov congratulated the newly appointed chairman and board of SYO  and spoke about the expectations from  the Student Youth Organization.

He expressed his confidence that the organisation  of scientific  events of the society will increase the activity of students in this direction and wished them success in their future activities.

In the end, the Chairman of the Secretariat Azer Seyidov, advised students to seriously engage in scientific work and expressed his best wishes to the new staff of SYO.
