Academy of the State Customs Committee hosted an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of  national leader Heydar Aliyev. The executives, employees and students of the Academy attended the event.

The memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our republic was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Speaking at the event, the head of the Academy, major-general of the  customs service Gulu Novruzov spoke about the rich life path and diverse activities of the Great Leader.  He emphasized that Heydar Aliyev, the founder of our independent state, established strong foundations in all fields and  he was a politician capable of influencing world politics and conducting analyzes on a global scale. The head of the academy pointed out the importance of studying the rich heritage of the genius and promoting it among the young generation, and noted that the memory of the Great Leader will live forever in the hearts of our people as long as there is an independent Azerbaijan.

Araz Aslanli, Deputy Head of Education and Innovations , Jamila Namazova, Deputy Head of Scientific Affairs, and Islam Huseynov, Head of the Department of Organization of Educational and Methodical work of the Academy also spoke about the incomparable historical  services of the National leader in the direction of strengthening Azerbaijan's development and state building.

Later,  the students of the Academy made speeches on the topics "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan's legal policy", "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan customs".

The event continued with a poetic composition.
