ASCCA, Balikesir University sign MoU
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Academy of the State Customs Committee and the Balıkesir University of Turkey. The online meeting was attended by the head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, the major general of the customs service, Gulu Novruzov, the rector of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr Yucel Ogurlu and staff members of both higher education institutions.
Delivering a speech about sincere friendship and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, Gulu Novruzov noted the importance of cooperation in the field of education. He also highlighted the historical and strategic importance of the Shusha Declaration signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and said that cooperation between these countries in all fields should reflect the spirit of this declaration. The head of the academy expressed confidence that the memorandum to be signed with Balıkesir University, which has a rich historical development path, will further develop cooperation relations.
The rector of Balıkesir University Prof. Dr Yucel Ogurlu spoke about the strategic goals of the higher education institution he represented and said that they are proud of the cooperation with ASCCA in this direction. Y. Ogurlu confidently noted that joint activities in areas of mutual interest would be beneficial for both sides.
Following the discussions, parties signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
The Memorandum envisages holding joint conferences between the parties, conducting scientific research, student-academic staff exchange, partnership within the framework of international projects, and other crucial issues.
