The fourth year students majoring in Economics, Law and Information Security  of the Academy of the State Customs Committee successfully continue their 14-week production internship in  state and private institutions, including various customs bodies.

A scientific-practical seminar was held at  General Customs Department on Air Transport  to encourage  students to acquire practical knowledge and inform them about the activities of the customs system within the framework of the internship. The executives of Academy of the State Customs Committee, General Customs Department on Air Transport  of the State Customs Committee, the employees,  as well as,  the fourth year students of the Academy, attended the seminar.

Making an opening speech, the Deputy Head of the Academy, Jamila Namazova, spoke about the importance of the seminar, knowledge gained by the students during the internship and stressed the importance of holding such events. Professor Namazova spoke about the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the improvement of the customs system and she stressed the importance of the events planned during the year by the State Customs Committee and the Academy of the State Customs Committee related to the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev". J. Namazova also emphasized the role of the General Customs Department on Air Transport in the organization of international passenger and cargo transportation and in the formation of foreign trade relations.

Welcoming the participants of the event, Anar Jahangirov, the head of the General Customs Department on Air Transport, spoke about the recent reforms in the customs system, noted the importance of the studying the customs activities in all aspects  and wished success to the students of the Academy.

The  employees of the  structural divisions of the  Department, Elshan Safarli, Azer Shikhaliyev, Seymur Muradov, Gullu Abdullayeva and Haqiqat Ismayilbeyli, gave their recommendations to the students in acquiring  practical knowledge in the field of customs.   Then, employees informed the students about the main areas of activity and work principles of the departments and answered their questions.

After the seminar, the students got detailed information about the activities of the department by observing the work process.

It should be noted that during the production internship, a number of events are planned to be held continuously in terms of educating students.
