ASCCA hosts opening ceremony for Winter Camp in Cybersecurity
The opening ceremony of the project "Winter Cyber Security Camp 2023" was held under the joint organization of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Technest Scholarship programme run by Innovation and Digital Development Agency and "Coders Azerbaijan".
The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, major general of the customs service Gulu Novruzov, the head of Digital Competencies Department of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency Fatima Alakbarova, the head of the Department of Information systems and technologies of the Technological Innovations and Statistics Department of State Customs Committee, Eshgin Mammadov, co-founder and member of the board of directors of “Coders Azerbaijan" Seymur Hamidov, representatives of partner institutions, employees and students of the Academy attended the event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony , the head of the Academy, Gulu Novruzov, spoke about the importance of the project and emphasized that the work done in the field of cyber security, both in our country and around the world, is becoming more and more important in the era of widespread digitalization. Novruzov spoke about the development of effective cooperation relations established with the Academy's partner "Coders Azerbaijan" and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the project. The head of the Academy congratulated the students who were selected for the project and wished them success, and emphasized that our country needs educated and capable young people to continue the development concept founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully implemented by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev.
Fatima Alakbarova Head of the Department of Innovation and Digital Development Agency, , congratulated the students on the upcoming Youth Day, February 2, and spoke in detail about the Technest scholarship program. She pointed out that the main goal of the program is to accelerate the training of IT personnel in the country, to eliminate existing gaps in this field and to contribute to the digital development in the country. Alakbarova expressed her confidence that cooperative relations with the Academy will be further expanded in the future.
Additionally, Eshgin Mammadov the head of the Department of Information systems and technologies, talked about the reforms implemented in customs bodies in the field of information technology application and gave his recommendations to the students on increasing their knowledge and skills in Information Technologies.
Seymur Hamidov, co-founder and member of the board of directors of "Coders Azerbaijan", noted that the goal of the institution that he represents is to train professional staff in the field of IT by bringing together the industrial sector and the educational sector, and expressed his gratitude to the project's supporters.
Later, the participants were given detailed information about the project and educational program.
In the end , 20 students of the Academy selected for the project were awarded gifts.
It should be noted that within the framework of the camp covering the dates of February 1-14, the participants will take part in intensive training and gain both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, and at the end of the training, they will present a project in groups.
