Academy of the State Customs Committee  held a meeting with the General Department of Technological Innovations and Statistics of State Customs Committee.

The head of the Academy of State Customs Committee, Major-General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, the head of the General Department of Technological Innovations and Statistics of the State Customs Service, Colonel of Customs Service  Fuad Aslanov, the deputy head of the General Department, Colonel of  Customs Service Rauf Guliyev, the staff and students of the Academy attended the meeting.

The meeting was aimed at  reviewing  available opportunities in Information Technologies.

The head of the academy, Gulu Novruzov  welcomed the participants and informed about the activities of the Academy, that carries out personnel training in IT, along with other specialties. Gulu Novruzov stated that in the current academic year, the Academy will have first graduates in Information Security. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with partners specialized in IT, in order to improve the quality of the process of training professional personnel in this field.

The head of the General Department, Fuad Aslanov expressed his satisfaction to be in the Academy of the State Customs Committee, and spoke about the activity of the institution . He noted the important role of the implementation of specialist training in IT in the efficient organization of the activities of the customs bodies. In his speech, F. Aslanov emphasized that in order to expand the personnel potential in IT,  the joint activity will be effective for both parties.

Later, a presentation was shown on the activities of the Academy, achievements and priorities in the field of international cooperation, foreign higher education institutions and customs training structures, and relations with other international institutions and projects .

Following the event, the head of the Department of Information Technologies and Technical Sciences, Babek Abbasov, made a presentation on " Personnel training on IT and cyber security in higher education institutions: Problems and perspectives".

At the meeting, it was determined to take steps  in the direction of ensuring the implementation of such issues as mutual organization of projects, seminars and discussions between the parties, as well as providing support for the development of students' knowledge and skills, professional levels, worldviews, etc.
