Academy of the State Customs Committee hosted an event dedicated to the life and creativity of prominent personalities who lived in Shusha within the framework of  "Year of Shusha". The event was attended by the staff and students of the academy.

The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was sounded at the beginning of the event. A minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the martyrs ,who fought for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The students of the academy gave presentations on the life and creativity of prominent personalities, famous artists, well-known singers, and tar players  who lived in Shusha, such as Uzeyir Hajibeyov, the founder of the modern professional music of Azerbaijan, prominent poet Khurshidbanu Natavan, statesman and writer Yusif Vazir Chamenzaminli.
