On December 6, the memory of  one of our heroic sons, customs officer Ulvi Hajiyev, who rose to the peak of martyrdom in the 44-day Patriotic War, was honored. Ulvi Hajiyev's family members, relatives, veterans, executives and staff of the State Customs Committee, as well as employees and students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee took part in the commemorative event. The event began with the playing of the National Anthem and a minute's silence in memory of the martyr.

At the commemoration ceremony, flowers were laid on the grave of the martyr, and his unforgettable memory was revered  with deep respect.

Later, prayers were read for the souls of all the heroes who rose to the top of martyrdom.

It should be noted that customs officer Martyr Ulvi Hajiyev was awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the release of Fuzuli", "For the release of Jabrayil" and "For the release of Khojavend" after his death by the orders of Ilham Aliyev ,the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
