ASCCA holds event dedicated to World First Aid Day
On September 9, an event dedicated to World First Aid Day for customs volunteers was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee.
The event was attended by head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, major general of the customs service Gulu Novruzov, head of the Department of Social Innovation and Analytical Study of the State Customs Committee Vugar Aliyev, deputy head of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Service Ismayil Efendiyev as well as emergency physicians of the Central Customs Hospital.
The speakers expressed satisfaction with the activities of the "Customs Volunteers" team and emphasized the importance of the knowledge and competencies related to first aid that the team members are to acquire.
Later, presentations on first aid, snake, scorpion, spider and insect bites, as well as first aid in case of various poisonings were delivered. Moreover, the benefits and steps of first aid, the methods of giving artificial respiration and other necessary information were presented.
At the end of the event, customs volunteers put into practice what they learned.
Volunteers’ questions were also responded to by doctors.
