ASCCA meets a delegation of the Senegalese Customs Service
A meeting with the delegation of the Main Customs Administration of the Republic of Senegal was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of customs between two countries.
The head of the academy, Major General of the Customs ServiceGulu Novruzov, , the employees of the academy, Kanan Mammadov, Chief of the General Directorate for Organization of Customs Control and Trade Facilitation, Kamran Jabbarli, Deputy Chief of the International Cooperation Office, Director for customs operations of the Main Customs Administration of the Republic of Senegal Mbaye Ndiaye and the delegation attended the meeting.
Mr. Novruzov greeted the guests and expressed hissatisfaction to welcome them at the academy.
Speaking about the relations between the two countries in the field of customs , the head of the academy emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of education. He noted that the Academy is the only special purpose higher education institution that trains professionals for customs authorities in various fields, and gave detailed information on the educational process carried out at the Academy with the application of innovative and efficient technologies. The head of the academy also noted the effective service of the customs authorities in protecting the national security of our country, emphasizing the importance of professional training of customs officers in this direction.
At the end of his speech, Gulu Novruzov noted that they look forward for further fruitful cooperation in the academic field for the development of the customs field.
Expressing gratitude with his visit to the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Director forcustoms operations of the Main Customs Administration of the Republic of Senegal Mbaye Ndiaye thanked the executive of the Academy for the warm hospitality.
He praised the effective work of the Academy in providing the customs authorities with professional staff, noting that they are interested in studying and applying advanced practices gained by Azerbaijan’s customs service.
Later on, Elvin Majidov, Coordinator for International Cooperation of ASCCA , made an extensive presentationon the activities of the Academy, achievements and priorities in the field of international cooperation, foreign higher education institutions and customs training structures, relations and projects with other international organizations, in particular,training cooperation with Senegalese institutions to strengthen human resources in the customs service.
At the end, symbolic gifts were presented.
After the official part of the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the conditions created for students of the Academy and customs officers attending in-service courses, as well as the newly established language lab, classrooms equipped with modern technical controls and the teaching process.
