Employees and students of the Customs Academy attended the commemoration ceremony of the martyr of the Patriotic War
On March 29, a commemoration ceremony was held on the occasion of the birthday of one of our heroic sons, Nasirov Afgan Ramil, who reached the peak of martyrdom in the 44-day Patriotic War. The ceremony, which took place at the Central House of Officers named after Hazi Aslanov, was attended by family members of the martyr, fellow-soldiers, parents, relatives of other martyrs of the Patriotic War, the managing staff of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, a group of employees, students, employees of state structures and public representatives.
First of all, the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed. Then a video dedicated to martyr Afgan Nasirov was demonstrated.
Speaking at the ceremony, the head of the Academy, Major-General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, expressed his gratitude to the martyr's mother for raising a worthy son for our Motherland and wished patience to the family members of the martyr. Speaking about the historic victory of the mighty Azerbaijani army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev, the head of the Academy said that today each of us is proud of our heroic sons, like Afgan, who contributed to that victory. Gulu Novruzov specially emphasized that the academy always pays attention to the families of martyrs and veterans of the Patriotic War, and the attention and care shown to them will be continued in the future.
Then, those who spoke at the ceremony told about the heroism of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and integrity of our lands, and spoke about the glorious life and the path of martyr of Afghan Nasirov.
In the artistic part of the event, students of the Academy recited poems dedicated to heroes of the Motherland.
After the ceremony, the managing staff of the Academy, a group of employees and students, together with the mother and relatives of the martyr, visited the grave of the martyr in Zabrat settlement of Sabunchu district, laid flowers in front of it, prayed for the repose of his soul and paid tribute to his dear memory.
