International Women's Day was celebrated at the Academy of the State Customs Committee on March 5. The event was attended by the executives  and staff of the Academy.

The head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs- Service Gulu Novruzov, on his own behalf and on behalf of the executives  of the State Customs Committee, congratulated the staff of the Academy on International Women's Day and wished them good health, new success in their future lives and activities. Speaking about the unreplaceable role of women in our society, Gulu Novruzov said that today the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva represents Azerbaijani women at the highest level with her services both in our country and abroad. Speaking about the government’s  attention and care for women in our country, Gulu Novruzov emphasized the activities of the State Customs Committee to ensure gender equality. The head of the academy noted that women, who are the guarantors of the development of a democratic society, have fulfilled their responsibilities from public administration to  the cultural, pedagogical and scientific life of the country.

At the end of his speech, Gulu Novruzov expressed his best wishes and respect to the  female employees of the Academy , as well as he remembered the mothers of martyrs and their wives, who showed great  perseverance, selflessness and strong will during the Great Patriotic War.
