Customs Academy participated in the training held within the framework of ECAR project

 

A training was arranged at Baku Engineering University within the framework of the project Erasmus+ for the purpose of improving the quality of higher education and coordinating the activity of university rectors. The Deputy Head of the State Customs Committee Jamila Namazova also attended the training.

In the training attended by representatives of total 16 higher educational institutions under the Ministry of Education and the members of the project consortium, detailed information was provided on requirements for quality in higher educational institutions, internationalization of study programs, international accreditation and its future perspectives and extensive discussions were made on abovementioned matters.

Jeff King – the Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Transformative Teaching and Learning at the University of Central Oklahoma attended the event online and made a speech on Transformative Teaching and Learning.

Then the training was continued by Olgun Cicek – Vice President at Central and Eastern European Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) on the topic “Management of Changes – Transformative Teaching and Learning”.

At the end of the event questions of interest were answered in details.

It should be noted that, the project Erasmus+ “Establishment of Azerbaijan Rectors Conference” (ECAR) which belongs to the category of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education is implemented with the coordination of Baku Business University and the financial support from the European Commission. The term of the project implementation is three years. Partnership and attendance of the Customs Academy in the project were assessed by the project consortium and European Commission in 2021, then approved and accepted in December.
