A scientific conference on the topic “Azerbaijan’s Customs – 30 years” dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of establishment of Azerbaijan’s customs was arranged by the Student Scientific Society of the Academy of the State Committee on February 28. Management, teaching and academic staff and students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee attended the conference.

Deputy Head of the Academy Jamila Namazova greeted participants at the opening of the conference and informed the participants of the event on the activity of the Student Scientific Society and new composition of the board of management.

Then Head of the Academy Gulu Novruzov made an introductory speech at the conference, congratulated the new management of the Student Scientific Society and wished best of luck in future endeavors of the conference. The Head of the Academy spoke about the significance of the conference based on the action plan adopted on the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of the State Customs Committee and highlighted the necessity of improving research skills of students. G. Novruzov noted that one of main functions of the Academy as a higher educational institution is to train students as professional researchers on their majors. The Head of the Academy said that they always focused on revealing the scientific potential of students and paid special attention to actively involve them in various scientific events arranged in the Academy for this purpose.

Afterwards, reports of students attending the scientific-practical conference on various topics in the field of the history of customs service, economic regulation and law enforcement services of customs authorities, as well as various topics on international relations in customs service were made and presentations were made.

At the end of the event certificates were presented to all students who made a speech at the conference.
