ASCCA participates in the training within the Erasmus + “Work4CE” project in Spain
The Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) was represented at the "Train-the-Trainer" event held in Bilbao, Spain on March 7-11, 2022 within the Erasmus + Work4CE project implemented in partnership with nine higher education institutions.
The event, which was attended by representatives of 6 European universities and 3 Azerbaijani universities, including ASCCA , was organized by the University of the Basque Country (Universidad del Pais Vasco - UPV) and particularly its faculty of Engineering.
On the first day of the trainings, a letter addressed to the rector by Gulu Novruzov, head of ASCCA and a book published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the State Customs Committee bestowed to the library of the University were presented to the representatives of the UPV. UPV Professor Josera Otegi expressed deep gratitude to the executives of the Academy and stressed that UPV is interested in bilateral cooperation with ASCCA in various fields.
According to the training agenda, on March 9, Babek Abbasov, head of the Department of Information Technologies and Technical Sciences, and Elvin Majidov, coordinator for international cooperation of the Academy, also the project manager, presented the module "Digital Technologies" developed by the Academy of the State Customs Committee, especially its didactic concept. Afterwards, the training participants performed practical tasks within the teams.
During the visit, the extensive discussions were held with the representatives of a number of foreign universities participating in the event on opportunities for joint activities, as well as, the areas of bilateral cooperation with the Academy of the State Customs Committee and other issues of interest within the framework of project.
It should be noted that the project, which began in 2020 and will last until November 2023, serves the goal for providing the training of professionals with the knowledge and skills required by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (“Industry 4.0”), especially digital skills (“Workforce 4.0”) in accordance with the dynamics of the labor market in various specialties (“Workforce 4.0”). The purpose of the participation of the Customs Academy in this project is to improve the education and training in the field of customs in Azerbaijan in line with the requirements of Industry 4.0 and Workforce 4.0, particularly, to improve and adapt the national customs agencies to the digital transformation, as well as to support the provision of the customs services of the country with professional and specialized customs personnel.
