Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan visited the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan
On 18 January, 2022, Rafał Poborski, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Poland Republic to Azerbaijan and Bartosz Musialowicz, First Counselor at the Embassy visited the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Gulu Novruzov, Head of the Academy, accepted and welcomed guests - the Polish ambassador and the 1st Secretary, as well as expressed his satisfaction to meet them at the Academy. The meeting began with a speech by Gulu Novruzov who gave detailed information to the guests about the establishment history of the Academy, its educational process, academic activities and international cooperation so far, as well as highlighted the existing relations between Poland and Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of developing mutual cooperation in the field of education.
Speaking about the development of international cooperation of the Academy in recent years, G. Novruzov noted that the international exchange programs with the participation of students of the Academy is developing and spoke about the prospects of future joint projects and programs with Polish universities. He added that the Ambassador Rafał Poborski visiting will be played an important role in the cooperation and communication between the universities of Poland and Azerbaijan Customs Academy.
Then an extensive presentation was made on the activities of the Customs Academy.
Expressing satisfaction with the visit to the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Azerbaijan Rafal Poborski emphasized that relationships between Poland and Azerbaijan are developing rapidly and it is important for both countries to support each other at the international level. The Ambassador also added that the two countries have wide potential to develop cooperation in various fields. He added that the Embassy of Poland Republic in Azerbaijan and himself would support the cooperation between universities from Poland and Azerbaijan.
He noted that the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan will play a special role in the future development of the country and the region, and Poland is interested in ensuring stability in the Eastern Partnership countries.
His Excellency noted that he would do his best to further develop cooperation in the field of education. He stressed that the issues discussed at the meeting are very important for mutual cooperation and the importance of realizing future prospects. The ambassador also gave detailed information about the scholarship programs announced by the Republic of Poland and the participatory process of students in these programs.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
After that, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the Customs Academy and watched the exams.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Academy administration for pleasant acceptance.
