Event dedicated to Victory Day was held at the Customs Academy

An event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The management of the Academy, employees, students, families of martyrs, and veterans participated in the event.

At the opening of the event, the dear memory of our heroes, who rose to the peak of martyrdom to ensure our territorial integrity, was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Speaking at the event, the head of the Academy, Customs Service Major General Gulu Novruzov congratulated the event participants on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the glorious victory and called the Victory Day a page of proud written in the glorious history of our nation. In his speeech, Gulu Novruzov emphasized the significance of Victory Day in the history of Azerbaijan, pointing out that the victory achieved in 2020 is not only a military victory but also a symbol of national unity and solidarity. The head of the academy noted that the sovereignty of our country was completely restored as a result of the anti-terror operations conducted by the Azerbaijani Army, and he also wished mercy to our martyrs who displayed courage and heroism in achieving the historical victory, and healing to the veterans.

Then, Shakir Abdullayev, the father of the martyr Hasanaga Abdullazadeh, Naila Mutallimzadeh, the mother of the martyr Aghajavad Mutallimzadeh, Ilaha Mammadova, the mother of the martyr Rashad Novruzov, and Mahir Aliyev, the father of the martyr Tahir Aliyev, spoke about the glorious victory won by the Azerbaijani Army after 30 years. They highlighted the heroism of their children for the sake of the motherland, and expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Academy for organizing such an important event to commemorate the memories of our martyrs.

Also at the event, Leman Alicanova, a third-year student of the Academy majoring in "Jurisprudence", presented her award-winning essay dedicated to Victory Day, which won first place in the inter-university writing contest.

The event continued with an artistic performance dedicated to the memory of our martyrs.
