ASSCA students visit Baku International Sea Trade Port
An excursion to the Baku International Sea Trade Port was organized for senior students of the International Trade and Logistics major of the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The excursion was organized by the teacher of the Academy, Associate Professor Nijat Karimov, who teaches "International Transport Operations" . During the excursion the students were given detailed information about the logistics operations carried out in the port, the working principles of the port, port management and future career opportunities.
The students were informed by the experts on a visual tour to the ferry terminal located in the green and red zones of the port , to RoRo terminal and general cargo terminal, and to the storage warehouse.
The excursion helped the students to fully master the theoretical knowledge they learned during the semester in a practical way on the example of Azerbaijan.
It is to be noted that "Baku International Sea Trade Port" CJSC ensures prompt loading of various types of cargo with modern operating systems. The port serves as an important part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route with 13 piers and extensive storage areas . Last year it achieved the region's first Green Port certification by increasing the volume of cargo loading to more than 7 million tons.
