ASCCA Student Achieves Success at “RoboCode” Ideathon
The “RoboCode” robotics coding camp was held with the joint organization of the Innovation Center under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Bilişim Vadisi,” and “SAHA Robotics” company.
During the month-long program, which received 321 applications, 70 participants attended both online and in-person sessions covering topics such as “Fundamentals of ROS,” “Robot Simulation,” and “Robot Motion Systems.” The camp concluded with an ideathon.
The robot prototypes created by the teams were evaluated by a panel of judges. Based on the results, the team “Medbot,” led by Mirmahamməd Mansimov, a sophomore student majoring in Information Technology at the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA), won second place.
The "Medbot" prototype, a medical service robot, was programmed and built to deliver medication and food to patients in hospital quarantine zones.
The winning teams were awarded prizes and also earned the opportunity to complete internships at the “Bilişim Vadisi” campus and at SAHA Robotics.
