Seminar on combating human trafficking was held

A seminar on the topic "Combating Human Trafficking" was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee as part of "2020-2024 National Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan" established by Order No. 2173 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 22, 2020. The employees and students of the Academy, as well as operating officers of the General Department for Intelligence and Investigation of the State Customs Committee, the representatives of regional and specialized structural divisions participated in the seminar presented by Alimammad Nuriyev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and President of the “Constitution” Research Fund, and Mahira Amirhuseynova, the Chairman of the "Women of the XXI Century" Public Union. 

During the opening ceremony, the head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, the Major General of the Customs Service, Gulu Novruzov emphasized the significance of combating human trafficking, the work done in this direction in our country, and especially noted the importance of educating the customs officers on the topic. 

The seminar included an in-depth discussion about the nature and forms of the human trafficking, the methods for identifying victims, the legislative framework in this field in our country and measures to combat human trafficking effectively.

Then, a video related to the topic was demostrasted. 

At the end of the interactive event, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered by the speakers.
