ASCCA employees participated in the meeting with the martyr's mother
On the eve of Independence Day, October 18, a meeting with the mother of the martyr was held at the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (AUW) with the participation of the representatives of state institutions and NGOs. Along with other participants, Deputy Head of Academy of the State Customs Committee Jamila Namazova and Head of Secretariat Azer Seyidov took part in the meeting dedicated to the visit of Matanat Guliyeva, the mother of martyr Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Guliyev.
Chairman Tahir Khudiyev, opened the event with an introductory speech, commemorated the dear memory of our martyrs, and congratulated all the participants on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of Independence. Ms. Matanat, the mother of the martyred lieutenant colonel, shared her impressions regarding the high-level reception given to families of martyrs in Turkey, spoke about her meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and other high-ranking officials, and the families of martyrs.
Jamila Namazova, along with many well-known public figures, and representatives from both the state and private sectors, emphasized the importance of such meetings in strengthening the relations between the two brotherly countries and noted that the memory of the martyrs is eternal.
Fellow soldiers of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Guliyev also participated in the ceremony and spoke about his bravery and heroism in service to the Motherland.
In the end, the attendees expressed hope that such events would be continued in the future, with the joint participation of the martyrs' families and state institutions.
It should be noted that some time ago, a group of martyrs' families from Azerbaijan visited Turkey. Matanat Guliyeva, the mother of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Guliyeva, a member of the Board of Directors of “Turkic World Turan Thought Center”, “International Agency for Disabled People” and “Support to the Families of Low-Income, Disabled, Martyrs and War Veterans” PU and the Editorial Board of “Disabled World” newspaper participated in this visit.
