Academy of the State Customs Committee held an event on "Knowledge Day" and the beginning of the new academic year. The event started with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

The Chairman of State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant - General of the Customs Service Shahin Baghirov congratulated the teaching staff and students on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year. The chairman noted that as a result of the education policy, which was founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, highly qualified national personnel are trained and science has achieved incredible advancements. The speaker brought to attention that the new academic year is marked by the start of activities of schools in all territories of our country, including "Karabagh" University. Baghirov advised the students to be responsible in their duties and develop as highly qualified personnel for the sake of the successful future of our victorious country. 

The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, major general of the customs service, Gulu Novruzov, congratulated the students and expressed his confidence that the teaching staff will successfully cope with all the tasks ahead and wished the students success in the new academic year. 

At the end, 1st year students with high scores were presented student cards and gifts.

It is to be noted that this year, 150 students in Bachelor and Master degrees got the chance to be a student of the Academy.
