ASCCA hosts closing meeting of Erasmus plus work4ce Project
The closing meeting of the Erasmus+ WORK4CE consortium project, funded by the European Union (EU), implemented through a partnership between the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) and eight other higher education institutions, was held recently. A delegation led by Professor Galina Tabunschik from Zaporizhia National Technical University in Ukraine visited ASCCA as part of this meeting.
Gulu Novruzov, Head of ASCCA and General-Major of Customs Service, welcomed the guests and emphasized the significance of the WORK4CE project. He stated that the initiative aims to enhance higher education potential within the EU's Erasmus+ program and highlighted the benefits gained from the knowledge and skills acquired during the project for both ASCCA and Azerbaijan. He also stressed the importance of maintaining strong partnerships among the involved universities.
Project coordinator Professor Galina Tabunschik discussed the work accomplished under WORK4CE, expressing gratitude to ASCCA for its support and acknowledging the crucial role played by Azerbaijani institutions in this initiative.
Representatives from three Ukrainian universities in the consortium, including rectors and professors, expressed their eagerness to further develop relations with ASCCA and collaborate on new projects.
Elvin Mejidov, Coordinator for International Cooperation at ASCCA and Project Manager of WORK4CE, presented activities carried out under the project, detailing their outcomes and future plans post-project completion. The presentation particularly showcased the Digital Technologies module, one of the 9 e-learning modules developed under the project, which was created by ASCCA. It also demonstrated the establishment of the "Work4CE" Digital Collaborative Production Laboratory at the Academy, along with the readiness of this higher education institution to participate in the Consortium's main product, the Joint Virtual Master's Program.
The project, which began on November 15, 2020, and will continue until November 14, 2024, aims to train professionals equipped with skills necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution ("Industry 4.0"), particularly in digital capabilities to meet evolving labor market demands ("Work 4.0"). ASCCA's participation seeks to align customs training in Azerbaijan with these demands, supporting digital transformation within national customs authorities.
