A chess tournament dedicated to Victory Day was organized by the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, involving special-purpose higher educational institutions from across the country.

The aim of the tournament was to honor the memory of the heroic soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 44-day war and reached the pinnacle of martyrdom. It also sought to strengthen the relationships between these special-purpose higher educational institutions and boost enthusiasm for sports among the personnel.

The competition involved five special-purpose higher education institutions, with the team from the Academy of the State Customs Committee securing third place.

At the conclusion of the event, the victorious teams were awarded diplomas and medals.
