Novruz celebration was held at the Customs Academy

A major festivity was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.

The event began with a one-minute silence in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed defending the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the National Anthem.

At the event, the head of the academy, Customs Service Major General Gulu Novruzov, delivered a congratulatory speech and talked about the historical and cultural significance of the Novruz holiday, which preserves the national and moral values and traditions of our people. G. Novruzov noted that it was during the times when the great leader Heydar Aliyev was in power that our people took ownership of their national values, and deepened their understanding the riches of the spiritual heritage. The head of the academy stated that thanks to the brave Azerbaijan Army led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and our heroic martyrs, this year our nation is celebrating Novruz more passionately and enthusiastically as a nation that has fully restored its territorial integrity.

At the end of his speech, Gulu Novruzov conveyed the congratulations of the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Bagirov to the staff, faculty, and students of the Academy on the occasion of the Novruz holiday, which is the embodiment of abundance, blessing and kindness, and wished them good health, good days, and success in their careers.

Then, the head of the academy presented the certificates to the students for their outstanding participation in various events.

At the event, the holiday khonchas designed by the students and the artworks dedicated to Novruz traditions were displayed.

Then, the event continued with the artistic component. Enjoyable musical pieces, dances, and interesting Novruz skits performed by the students of the Academy made the event even more colorful and provoked a good mood in the participants.

In the end, the head of the academy and the students lit the holiday bonfire. Students demonstrated national unity and solidarity by performing folk dance “yalli” around the holiday bonfire.
