Academy of the State Customs Committee held an event on "Knowledge Day" and the beginning of the new academic year.    

The event started with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the martyrs ,who sacrificed their lives for  Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

The Chairman of State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant -General of the Customs Service Shahin Baghirov  congratulated the teaching staff and students on the occasion of  the beginning of the new academic year. The chairman noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the significant reforms have been implemented in all areas, including the development of education ,in accordance with modern standards in our country. For the successful future of our country, the chairman advised the young people to adequately cope with their duties and mobilize all their strength in this direction  in paying attention to science, education, and the efficient organization of their free time, and encouraged them to be active in social activities as well.

The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, major general of the customs service, Gulu Novruzov, congratulated the students and their parents and said that all the necessary conditions have been created in the Academy for the students  to build a successful career in the future, and wished the students success in their student life.

Speaking at the meeting, the parents expressed their gratitude for the conditions created at the Academy, the attention and care given to the students.

At the end, 1st year students with high scores were presented student cards and gifts.

It is to be noted that this year 139 students in 5 majors got the chance to be a student of the Academy.
