ASSCA students became prize-winners of the International Online Olympiad of English

Five students from the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) participated in the 4th International Gumilyov Online English Olympiad organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology at the L.N. Gumilyov National Eurasian University of Kazakhstan. The theme of the Olympiad was "Impact of technological development on the environment: problems and innovative solutions."
 
The objective of the Olympiad, which was open to first and second-year students of non-linguistic specialties, aimed to enhance students' linguistic and cultural skills, promote the learning of English, and foster the development of their intellectual abilities.
 
The first round of the Olympiad assessed participants' listening and reading skills. Those who progressed to the second stage delivered presentations on the topic "Impact of technological development on the environment: problems and innovative solutions."
 
Rashad Zeynalov, a second-year student majoring in Law, and Roya Karimova, a first-year student majoring in Information Technologies, both won the third prize in the Olympiad. They were presented with diplomas in recognition of their outstanding achievement. Nadir Ahmadzade, a first-year student in International Trade and Logistics, received a certificate of participation for successfully reaching the final round. Additionally, Taira Akhundova and Firuza Karimova, English language instructors at the Department of Law and Humanities, were awarded a letter of gratitude for coordinating the students' participation in the Olympiad.
