ASCCA represented at III National Cyber Security Forum
The III National Cyber Security Forum, with a focus on the "Green World Solidarity Year," recently convened in Baku, organized by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA).
The event brought together senior cybersecurity officials from government agencies in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, along with representatives from ASCCA, staff members, and students.
The forum's primary objective was to facilitate discussions with representatives and experts from institutions, organizations, companies, and partner countries to contribute to the development of the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Panel discussions covered topics such as the cybersecurity ecosystem of Azerbaijan, the experience of member states of the Organization of Turkic States in securing critical information infrastructure, international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, cybersecurity education and human resources, and Cyberdiaspora.
The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Major General of the Customs Service, Gulu Novruzov, and rectors of other higher education institutions participated in a panel discussion on "Education and human resources in cyber security." Gulu Novruzov highlighted the importance of aligning IT education with the labor market's current needs and discussed steps to enhance the quality of education in this field. The panel also covered topics such as sharing experiences, organizing joint educational events, training sessions, forums, and conferences to strengthen personnel potential. Various opinions and suggestions were discussed during the panel.
At the end of the event, students of the Academy were honored with certificates by Elvin Balajanov, the chairman of the Association of Cyber Security Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), in recognition of their voluntary activities at the forum.
Furthermore, IT staff members of the ASCCA received certificates for their participation in software training organized in Turkey by cyber security companies "Gais," "Malwation," and "Peyk."
