Academy of the State Customs Committee hosted an event dedicated to the commemoration day of National leader Heydar Aliyev.  The head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Major-General of the customs service Gulu Novruzov, the chairman of the Khatai regional organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), Vugar Rahimzade, the chairman of the Sabunchu regional organization of the NAP, Araz Khudadanov, employees and students of the Academy attended the event .

The event began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs ,who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the national anthem of Azerbaijan was sounded .  The head of the Academy, Gulu Novruzov, welcoming the event  participants, made an opening speech and reminded that 20 years have passed since the death of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, who had a special place in the history of Azerbaijan statehood, the guarantor of our eternal independence. He spoke about the  irreplaceable role of the great leader in the history of Azerbaijan.

Novruzov emphasized that one of the most important and holy dreams of the Great Leader was the liberation of the Karabakh lands,  and he stated  that Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation for systematic and purposeful activities in the direction of the liberation of our occupied lands. The speaker noted that this mission was completed with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijan Army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the follower of the bright ideas of the National Leader. In the end, the head of the Academy emphasized the importance of studying the Great Leader's political legacy more deeply and passing it on to future generations.  

Vugar Rahimzadeh, chairman of the Khatai regional organization of NAP, spoke about the historical services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, his rescue mission, and the historical significance of the Great Leader's return to power at the insistence of the people.   

Araz Khudadanov, chairman of the Sabunchu district organization of NAP, appreciated  the activity of the Academy in the direction of promoting patriotism and spoke about the services of the Great Leader to our nation and state. He noted that as long as there is an independent Azerbaijan, the legacy of the Great Leader will live forever in the hearts of our people .
