Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year were celebrated at the Customs Academy
The event on the occasion of December 31 – the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The management, employees and students of the Academy participaed in the event.
The event began with a minute’s silence in memory of our martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the performance of the National Anthem.
The head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov made an opening specch at the event. He noted the exceptional services of national leader Heydar Aliyev in celebrating this significant date and pointed out that 2023 was one of the successful years for our country. G. Novruzov talking about the history of the establishment of this day, the unity and solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the world, emphasized that as a nation that won victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, we once again showed with indignity our solidarity to the world.
Gulu Novruzov stated that the year we are leaving was memorable in terms of the Academy’s activities, as well, and spoke in details about the achievements the Academy accomplished within a year.
The head of the Academy conveyed the congratulations of the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Bagirov to the employees, academic teaching staff, and students of the Academy on the occasion of the upcoming December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the new calendar year, wishing them good health, happy days and the new successes in their activities for the sake of the progress of the Academy.
Then, the students distinguished in 2023 for their outstanding academic performance, special activities in the public and social life of the Academy, cultural and mass events were presented honorary degrees by the head of the Academy, and at the same time, the winners of the chess tournament held at the Academy on this eve were awarded cups and certificates.
The event ended with an artistic performance with the participation of the students of the Academy.
