Academy of the State Customs Committee organised  a scientific-practical conference on  "Azerbaijani woman ,on the guard of statehood " dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Conference was held at the European Regional Office for Capacity Building of the World Customs Organization located in Baku.  The management of the Customs Academy, ,as well as the representatives of the Academy of the State Security Service named after Heydar Aliyev,  the Science and Education Center of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Aviation Academy, the employees of the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice, the Academy of the State Border Service, the Training Center of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Defense University of the Ministry of Defense, the Higher Military School of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Azerbaijan State Naval Academy attended the conference.

The event started with a minute of silence commemorating the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and the national anthem was sounded.

Welcoming the participants of the conference, the deputy head of the Scientific Affairs of Academy of State Customs Committee, prof. Jamila Namazova , greeted the conference participants and evaluated the conference  as the manifestation of the effective cooperation relations created between special purpose higher education institutions and wished success to the work of the conference.

The head of the Academy, Major-General of the customs service Gulu Novruzov making an opening speech, spoke about the role of Azerbaijani women in the implementation of the statehood strategy of the Great Leader, and the work done in the direction of increasing their social and political activity. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev, who has enriched the path of the national leader with new criteria, has ensured the implementation of the state women's policy with greater achievements. Speaking about the role of Azerbaijani women in state building and the social and political life of the country,  Novruzov emphasized that the activity of our women in the field of education is particularly noteworthy.

 

At the end of his speech, the head of the Academy wished success for the conference, and stressed his confidence that our women, who are chosen for their loyalty to the Motherland and the national ideology are participants in economic projects, and  will continue to contribute to the strengthening of our sovereign country.

Following the event, the video was shown dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev .   

Conference participants made presentations on "Heydar Aliyev and the role of women in the governing bodies of the state", "The role of women in the protection of national security", "Azerbaijani woman - a source of inspiration for the Azerbaijani society", "Heydar Aliyev and the state women's policy in Azerbaijan", etc.

Speaking at the end, prof. Namazova pointed out that the foundation of women's policy was laid by the Great Leader, and specially emphasized the activities of the State Customs Committee in the direction of ensuring gender equality.  Namazova expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the conference, and noted that women who are the guarantors of the development of the democratic society have fulfilled their duties in the cultural, educational, and scientific life of the country.

In the end , Ramazan Asgarkhanov, a 4th year law student of the Academy, a Heydar Aliyev scholarship   student recited a  poem "Our Women".
