"Iron Fist" , an intellectual competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the birthday of President Ilham Aliyev, was held. The tournament was organized by the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan .

The teams of the law students of universities ,as well as, the students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee participated in the competition. The competition was held in  three stages.

The competition was aimed to reveal  the knowledge and skills of students in the field of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law.

The management of the Azerbaijani Bar Association,   representatives of the Academy of the Azerbaijani Bar Association ,  as well as the team leaders of the  universities participating in the competition and 45 students took part in the event.

The event started with a minute of silence commemorating the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Making an opening speech, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Bar Association, Anar Bagirov greeted the participants and wished them success. Bagirov congratulated everyone on the occasion of December 10 - International Human Rights Day and spoke about the importance of competitions organized in the field of law in our country.

Speaking at the event, Rector of the Academy of Bar Association, Doctor of Law, Professor Amir Aliyev,and Head of "Kangarli and Partners" Law Firm, Ismayil Kangarli informed about the rules and regulations of the competition and wished success to the participants.

After the official part, the competition of 9 teams was held.

The second stage of the competition will be held on December 16, and the final stage  will be held on December 23.
