ASCCA employee completed the course of the European Union Law Enforcement Training Agency (CEPOL)

Taira Akhundova, a teacher of the Department of Law and Humanities of the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) has successfully completed the advanced "Training of Trainers" which was organized by the European Union (EU) Law Enforcement Training Agency (CEPOL) within the framework of the "Training and Operational Partnership Against Organized Crime" (TOPCOP) project in Budapest, the capital of the Republic of Hungary. The training was also attended by an employee of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan as well as a total of eight representatives of four countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia) from the six partner countries included in the EU Eastern Partnership program.

The training is aimed at enhancing the knowledge and competencies of the target groups by introducing advanced instructional design methods, various blended learning, and e-learning resource design concepts and getting them to apply authoring tools to promote and manage learning in the educational process.

According to the agenda of the practical training, the project manager Christos Konstantinidis and the trainer expert trainers delivered sessions on learning paradigms and principles, ID (instructional design) models and needs assessment, practical Moodle activities, collaborative learning, creation multimedia for teaching and other related topics.

The participants who successfully completed the training were awarded CEPOL certificates at the end.

It should be noted that the ASCCA is the responsible institution for strengthening the personnel potential of the customs service bodies in Azerbaijan within the framework of the TOPCOP project. Taking into account the importance of strengthening the personnel potential of customs service bodies in ensuring the national and economic security of the country and fighting against organized crime, DGKA joined the TOPCOP project as a partner institution in April 2021. As a result of DGKA-CEPOL cooperation, the employees of the relevant customs service bodies of Azerbaijan have the right to participate in various courses, modules, seminars, trainings, and webinars that will be implemented within the framework of the project until 2024.
