ASCCA students awarded with Lithuanian State Scholarship start the semester

Within the framework of the cooperation of the Academy of the State Customs Committee with Lithuanian institutions and the bilateral cooperation agreement signed in August 2020 with Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) located in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, four ASCCA students have been selected for a one-semester state scholarship program in Lithuania in the academic year 2023/2024.

In April 2023, this prestigious and competitive state scholarship program implemented by the Educational Exchange Support Foundation of Lithuania was offered to a maximum of 15 students from 6 Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia), 51 ASEM ("Asia-Europe Meeting") countries as well as students from higher education institutions of countries that are priority export markets of Lithuania (USA, Israel, Turkey, Republic of South Africa, United Arab Emirates), and students of Lithuanian origin with foreign citizenship.

ASCCA has carried out the process of selecting applicants for MRU through a special assessment and interview. The main criteria for selecting students were English knowledge and communication skills, academic performance, and academic potential to study in Lithuania. As a result, 4 out of 15 scholarships were won by students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee.

Aladdin Agalarov, and Samira Gurbanova, students majoring in International Trade and Logistics, Asmar Alizade and Kanan Akbarov, students of the Information Technologies major, were enrolled in MRU during the fall semester.

During their studies, students will be taught risk management, cyber security, artificial intelligence, programming, accounting, creative writing skills, and other subjects.
