Next symposium was held under the joint organization of the Customs Academy and Ege University

The III International Symposium on the topic “Turkey-Russia Relations" was held under the joint organization of the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) and the Turkish World Studies Institute of Aegean (Ege) University of Turkey. The scientists and researchers from the USA, Germany, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and the other countries participated in the symposium held online.

Prof. Nadim Macit, who delivered an opening speech in the symposium organized to discuss the social, economic and political relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Russian Federation and to contribute to the determination of future directions of action, welcomed the participants and talked about the importance of the event. N. Macit noted that, the new shades of Turkey-Russia relations are the important factors that directly affect the political processes taking place in the region as a whole and he emphasized his certainty that the held event will make a large contribution to the world of science and wished success to the work of the symposium.

Speaking at the opening part of the event, Araz Aslanli, Deputy Head of the Academy for Education and Innovations, conveyed the greetings of the Head of the Academy, Customs Service Major General Gulu Novruzov to the event participants and expressed his satisfaction with the effective cooperation between the Academy and the Turkish World Studies Institute of Ege University. Pointing out the importance of providing research in Turkey-Russia relations from various aspects, Araz Aslanli thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event and wished success to the work of the symposium.

Then, the symposium continued its work in sessions.

It should be noted that last year, the II international symposium on "South Caucasus in the context of social, economic and political development in the post-Cold War era" was held under the joint organization of the Academy and the Institute of Turkic World Studies, as well.
