"Development of European Union Studies at the Customs Academy" (EURASCCA), the project of the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) was chosen as the winner of the international competition organized by the European Commission (EC). The project which belongs to the category "Jean Monnet Modules" within the framework of the "Jean Monnet Activities" program, a special field in the EC's Erasmus+ program, was prepared and presented in early 2022.

The overall goal of the EURASCCA Jean Monnet Module (JMM) project, which will be implemented by the Customs Academy for three years, is to develop and conduct  courses covering the general and specific areas of the European Union (EU).

JMM EURASCCA project , covering the EU customs system, law, policy and programs, European Neighborhood Policy, EU-Azerbaijan relations, Eastern Partnership, EU Law, EU Single Market, Single Commercial Policy, EU foreign-economic and financial policies and related courses and topics will be organized for the students of the Academy and the employees of the customs service of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the EURASCCA project, the planned activities include conducting research, preparing recommendations for the State Customs Committee on special issues of interest related to the EU in the field of customs, organizing various events for  students, higher education institutions, private sector institutions, training institutions specialized on law enforcement, media institutions and civil society.  

The project aims to create and promote multidisciplinary training and education potential covering EU customs and other topics, to create academic and institutional potential for EU research in ASCCA , in particular, to increase the awareness, knowledge and skills of students and employees of Azerbaijani customs authorities on various EU issues. The project will also support the discussion of customs, foreign trade and related issues of priority and mutual interest in  Azerbaijan and the EU relations.
