Event dedicated to the Victory Day was held at the Customs Academy
On November 4, an event dedicated to November 8 – the Victory Day was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The management of the Academy, the employees, students, families of martyrs, the participants of the Patriotic War and veterans participated in the event.
At the opening of the event, the dear memory of our heroes who rose to the peak of martyrdom to ensure our territorial integrity was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The head of the Academy, Major-General of Customs Service Gulu Novruzov delivered an introductory speech at the event, and congratulated the participants of the event on the glorious victory and called the Victory Day the brightest page in the history of Azerbaijan. Gulu Novruzov took a brief look at the history of the Azerbaijani people and noted that, this victory won at the cost of the lives of our heroic sons is the victory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev's strategy, the successful policy of his worthy successor, Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the mighty Azerbaijani army, as well as the economic development of the country. The head of the Academy, emphasized that young people have a great responsibility in introducing the truths of Azerbaijan to the world, and each of us is indebted to the holy spirit of our martyrs and he also noted the importance of passing on a history full of victories to future generations.
In the end, Gulu Novruzov prayed for God's patience to the families of martyrs and healing to our veterans.
Then, the parents of the martyrs spoke and expressed their satisfaction with the attention and care shown to them by the country's administration and the state, and thanked the management of the Academy for such an important event organized to commemorate the memory of martyrs.
At the event, the participants and veterans of the Patriotic War talked proudly about the battle path they went through, the glorious victory won by the Azerbaijani Army after 30 years and advised the young people to work hard for the development of our independent state.
After the speeches, a video dedicated to the Victory Day was demonstrated.
The event continued with an artistic composition performed by students of the Academy.
