According to the relevant order of the chairman of the State Customs Committee, Customs Service General Lieutenant Shahin Bagirov, a training on the topic "Improving the skills of communicating and working with the population" was held for the customs officers. Totally, 27 customs employees from the relevant institutions included into the structure of the State Customs Committee participated in the next training on professional development organized at the Academy of the State Customs Committee.

The training was conducted by Nargiz Bagirova, a teacher of ADA University, a researcher of the Institute of Development and Diplomacy at the ADA University.

Speaking at the opening part of the training, Gulu Novruzov, the head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Major-General of the Customs Service, greeted the event participants and talked about the complex measures implemented by the customs authorities in the recent period in order to improve the level of service. G. Novruzov also spoke about the electronic services provided by the State Customs Committee in order to ensure the convenience of citizens. The head of the academy expressed his confidence that the training will be useful for the customs officers and wished success to the training participants. 

In the training, the participants were given the detailed information on applying approaches/models for conflict resolution, evaluating personal values, characteristics and persuasive skills when communicating with people.
