ASCCA is represented in Poland within Erasmus plus ecar project
The Academy of State Customs Committee (ASCCA) was represented in the training program held on January-30-February 3 , 2023 in the Republic of Poland within the framework of the Erasmus+ project called "Establishment of the Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR).
The rectors of Azerbaijan Universities, who are members of the project consortium, representatives of authorities, as well as ,Araz Aslanli, the deputy head of the Academy for Education and Innovation attended the training.
The visit was organized by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities (CRASP),and aimed at studying the issues of strategic development of higher education institutions in Poland.
On the first two days of the training held at Kozminski University, the general and sustainable development of the university, digital transformation strategies, as well as local and European projects related to the improvement of employees were studied.
Mr. Michał Zasada, the rector of Warsaw University of Life Sciences and vice president of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities, gave detailed information about human resources management in strategic planning, the main criterias of financial management, including the activities of CRASP. Also, General Secretary of CRASP Agata Kulesza exchanged views on national and international experiences of CRASP with the participants of the visit.
The employees of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences conducted training seminars on the interrelationship of strategic development and quality issues, monitoring and evaluation processes in Polish higher education institutions, and other important topics. A detailed presentation on the teaching of Azerbaijani language, promotion of Azerbaijani culture, scientific conferences and other events was also shown at the University.
As part of the visit, representatives of Azerbaijani higher education institutions met with the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland, Nargiz Gurbanova. The ambassador gave information about socio-cultural events and projects implemented in Poland, especially in higher schools. N. Gurbanova invited our universities to further strengthen cooperation with Polish higher education institutions and stated that support can be provided in this direction.
At the end of the training program, the project coordinator, Gulshan Bayramova, director of the University-Industrial Cooperation Department of Baku Business University and Araz Aslanli, the chairman of the Strategic Development Committee established as a pilot within the framework of the ECAR project, discussed the implementation of the activities carried out in the project, the important tasks ahead, and the future action plan of the development committee.
It should be noted that ECAR project of the Erasmus + program of the European Union in the field of "Capacity Building in Higher Education" is implemented under the coordination of Baku Business University and with the financial support of the European Commission. The implementation period of the project is three years. The partnership of the Academy of the State Customs Committee in the project was evaluated and accepted by the project consortium and the European Commission in 2021, and the Academy's participation in the project began in April 2022.
