Academy of State Customs Committee was established according to the order No. 1972 dated January 24, 2012 , of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The Academy is a special-purpose state higher education institution that implements higher and additional education programs, conducting fundamental and applied scientific research.

Taking into account the prospects of the development of the labor market of our country, special importance is paid to the training of highly qualified personnel with modern knowledge, to the education of citizens who are loyal to  the statehood and national , moral values.

Currently there are 5 majors in the Bachelor's Degree - Law, Economics, International trade and logistics (education in Azerbaijan and in English), Information security and Information technologies (education in  English). In  Master's Degree , there are 2 specialties, including Customs work and International Economic Law .

Academy of State Customs Committee maintains its high indicators of student enrollment. In 2022/2023 academic year, the Academy achieved 100% admission results for both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Academy also organizes professional development trainings for customs service employees in order to train highly qualified, professional personnel to serve in customs bodies. It should be noted that, constantly keeping in mind the application of innovative and efficient training methods and teaching technologies in the development of the educational environment, the modules , various online courses (certificate programs), electronic learning (e- learning) and other online resources are widely used offered by World Customs Organization (WCO).
