The event on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee. The executives and employees of the Academy participated in the event.

The head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov congratulated the female employees of the Academy on the occasion of International Women's Day and wished them good health, new success in their future lives and activities. He also conveyed the congratulations of the chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Sahin Bagirov to the female employees of the Academy.

Speaking about the irreplaceable role of women in our society, G. Novruzov noted that today the first vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva represents the women of Azerbaijan at the highest level with her invaluable services both in our country and abroad. 

Talking about the attention and care of the state to women in our country, Gulu Novruzov specially emphasized the activities of the State Customs Committee in the direction of ensuring gender equality. The head of the academy noted that women, who are the guarantors of the development of the democratic society, properly fulfill their duties in the cultural, educational and scientific life of the country, state administration includingly.

At the end of his speech, Gulu Novruzov, in the image of the female employees of the Academy, conveyed his best wishes to the mothers and spouses of martyrs who showed unprecedented fortitude, dedication and strong will during the Patriotic War, expressed his high regard and respect.
