ASCCA is represented in Sweden within Erasmus+ ECAR project
The Academy of State Customs Committee (ASCCA) was represented in the training program held in Stockholm, Sweden, from February 27 to March 3, 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project called "Establishment of the Rector’s Conference in Azerbaijan " (ECAR).
32 representatives from 16 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan, which are members of the project consortium, participated in the training. Academy of State Customs Committee was represented by Professor Jamila Namazova, Deputy Head for Scientific Affairs of the Academy .
The main goal of the trainings carried out under the title of "The role of rectors' conference in the development of the higher education system" at KTH Royal Institute of Technology was the development of scientific research and innovation activities in universities.
The executives of the Swedish and Spanish Rectors' Conferences, EFMD, the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology made presentations on research and innovation systems in Sweden, Spain and the global environment in general, quality issues in research, publication infrastructure serving the scientific activity of researchers, as well as doctoral studies in the Swedish experience. Discussions and exchanges of ideas were held in very important areas such as education, employment of doctoral students.
During the trainings, group works on the activity of the Rectors' Conference were also carried out. At the end of the program, Gulshan Bayramova, the director of the centre in Baku Business University, the project coordinator, and Elchin Suleymanov, the chairman of the Scientific Affairs Committee created as a pilot within the framework of the ECAR project, discussed the implementation of the activities carried out in the project and the important tasks , as well as the future action plan of the Committee.
It should be noted that ECAR project of the Erasmus + program of the European Union in the field of "Capacity Building in Higher Education" is implemented under the coordination of Baku Business University and with the financial support of the European Commission. The implementation period of the project is three years. The partnership of the Academy of the State Customs Committee in the project was evaluated and accepted by the project consortium and the European Commission in 2021, and the Academy's participation in the project began in April 2022.
