ASCCA Representatives Attend International Legal Forum
The international “LEGIS Legal Forum” was held in Baku, organized by PASHA Holding. Alongside other officials, the event was attended by the Head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA), Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, Academy staff member Yavar Mammadova, and a group of students and graduates specializing in Jurisprudence. The purpose of the forum was to create a dynamic platform for legal experts to exchange knowledge, discuss legislative reforms, and assess existing legal gaps. The opening ceremony featured speeches by several high-ranking representatives of the public and private sectors. As part of the forum, presentations and panel discussions were organized on current topics in the legal field, with the participation of local and foreign officials.

ASCCA Staff and Students Attend Conference Dedicated to Youth Day
A scientific-practical conference titled “Legal Statehood and Youth” was held at the Scientific-Educational Center of the Prosecutor General's Office to mark February 2 – Azerbaijan Youth Day, as part of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture 2026.” Alongside representatives from other higher education institutions, state bodies, and legal authorities, the event was attended by ASCCA staff members Yavar Mammadova and Gunel Khalilli, as well as a group of the Academy’s students. Keynote speakers at the conference included Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports; Academician Urkhan Alakbarov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration; Bahruz Maharramov, Member of Parliament (Milli Majlis); and representatives from various state and legal institutions. The program continued with presentations on the designated topics, which highlighted the vital role of youth in state policy and emphasized the importance of ensuring their comprehensive development.

ASCCA Student Youth Organization Named “Student Youth Organization of the Year”
The “Student Youth Organizations Award Ceremony 2026” was held with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by Azerbaijan Student Youth Organisations’ Union (ASYOU). At the event, the Head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA), Customs Service Major-General Gulu Novruzov, addressed participants, highlighting the role of student youth in societal development and underscoring the importance of student organizations’ activities. The ceremony featured an evaluation of the past year’s activities conducted by Student Youth Organizations representing higher education institutions, with distinguished organizations receiving awards in various nominations. The Student Youth Organization of the Academy of the State Customs Committee was awarded the title “Student Youth Organization of the Year” for its active, innovative, and student-oriented initiatives implemented throughout 2025. ASCCA student Oruj Abbasov was also honored in the “Student Youth Organization Representative of the Year” nomination for his active organizational work and effective engagement with student community.

Carnet -- An international transport document which may be used for the temporary, duty-free importation of certain goods into a country in lieu of the usual customs documents or cash deposit required. The carnet serves as a guarantee for the payment of customs duties which are at risk in a transit procedure. The carnet also guarantees compliance with customs requirements. In addition, it may be used as an export document.
