A training session entitled "Fundamentals of the Tax System: The Essence of Taxation" was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA). The training was organized in accordance with the 2026 Action Plan on Enhancing Tax Culture and Financial Literacy among Learners and Educators, implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Education and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. The session was delivered by Turan Safarov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Management Education of the Training Center of the State Tax Service.

Opening the event, Professor Jamila Namazova, Deputy Head of ASCCA, emphasized the importance of promoting tax culture and enhancing financial literacy.

During the training, participants received detailed information on the fundamental principles of the tax system, the essence of taxation, and current issues in this field. The session concluded with answers to participants' questions.
