A festive event was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee to mark the Novruz holiday. The event commenced with the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a one-minute silence in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The head of the Academy ,Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, made a speech and congratulated the faculty and students of the academy on the national holiday and extended his best wishes to them. Novruzov noted that the victory achieved by the valiant Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, together with the heroism and sacrifice of the martyrs, has endowed this holiday with special significance and meaning.

The event also featured traditional Novruz khonchas prepared by the students, as well as paintings depicting the customs and traditions associated with the holiday.

The event continued with a cultural programme featuring a variety of artistic performances.
