Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic hosted an info session “Metro Hackathon” project, organized by Baku Metro JSC.

Eldar Alizade, a lead specialist of the Talent Management Department of Baku Metro JSC, and Vusal Alizade, deputy head of the Technology, Data, and Analytics Department, informed the students about the objectives, and the opportunities of the project it offers.

The session explained the prospects for applying artificial intelligence, data analytics, and transportation technologies in the metro system. It was noted that the main goal of the project is to manage passenger flow more efficiently, reduce congestion, and improve service quality.

Participants were also informed that they would gain practical experience by working with a real database, as well as receive mentor support and opportunities for pilot project implementation.

Upon completion of the training, the students’ questions were addressed.
