ASCCA hosted Masterclass on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Conducted by Turkish Expert
A masterclass on “Innovations in the International Transport of Dangerous Goods” was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic. The training was conducted by Murat Ozchelik , head of the Union of Safe Handling Specialists and Organizations for Hazardous Substances in Turkiye. The event was attended by employees of the State Customs Committee, students of the Academy, and representatives from other higher education institutions.
In his opening remarks, Elvin Alirzaev, Associate professor, Head of the Department of Customs Affairs and Management, emphasized the importance of the topic for international transportation and the customs system.
In the training, detailed information was provided on the classification of dangerous goods, characteristics by mode of transport, documentation and marking regulations, as well as the requirements of the ASR agreement and Turkish legislation. The participants' questions were answered with practical examples.
In his closing remarks, the Deputy Head of the Academy, Anar Suleymanov, emphasized the significant importance of the training for enhancing the customs officers' knowledge and skills in the transportation of dangerous goods, and presented a certificate of appreciation to the trainer, Murad Ozchelik.
