New Year and World Azerbaijanis Solidarity day celebrated in ASCCA

A festive event dedicated to December 31 the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee.

The event commenced with the performance of the National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence in commemoration of the cherished memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Delivering the opening address, the Head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Qulu Novruzov, spoke about the unity and solidarity of Azerbaijanis worldwide and emphasized the significance of the establishment of this special day. He highlighted the invaluable contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the institutionalization and celebration of this historic date.

He further noted that, as a nation that achieved victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, Azerbaijan once again demonstrated its unity and solidarity to the international community with dignity. Referring to the most significant historical developments of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” Novruzov stated that the outgoing year had also been memorable in terms of the Academy’s activities and accomplishments.

On the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the upcoming New year , the Head of the Academy conveyed the congratulatory message of the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Baghirov, to the Academy’s staff, faculty members, and students, extending his wishes for robust health, happiness, and continued success in their professional and academic endeavors.

Subsequently, certificates of Honor were awarded to students who had successfully represented the Academy in various competitions, Olympiads, and contests throughout 2025.

The event also featured a video presentation reflecting the historical background of the Day of Solidarity and followed by an artistic composition performed by the students of the Academy.
